I don't think your friend was Ctrl clicking the image, but rather clicked on the hand icon in the Curves panel, and then directly on the image. I also think this works the same in CS6 and CC. IIRC CS5 was the last version where you could Ctrl click the image to place a point.
i test it right now
ctrl + mouse click on the image add an anchor in the curve adjustament layer CC last update
ctrl + mouse click no cs6
can someone please confirm?
in both auto-select target adjustament tool Disabled (the little hand)
look the video cc
Be aware that CS6 is an old version and since CC came out updates have been discontinued.
are you sure? i remember an update for cs6 after the cc release
so no more updates for cs6 ? even bugs?
i don't like adobe clients support
may i ask you a favor?
if you have the possibility to test what i show in the video , can you do it please with cs6 and cc?
I don't have CC. CS6 is fixed. Bug fixes are a potential, but at this stage of the game unlikely.
If CS6 you can get the latest ACR updates, but they are stripped of any new features associated with camera raw.
hope a photoshop cc user could test it and confirm or not
sad there is nobody with cc that can respond
but i guess it was the wacom intuos last drivers/software that change photoshop cc curve adjustament layer behavior
