1. Re: Transfer Android DPS app
Neil Enns - Adobe Mar 31, 2014 1:53 PM (in response to rankov)I'm not sure I quite understand your question. Android DPS apps are downloaded from Google Play, and the folios are downloaded from our servers when the reader requests them. What exactly are you trying to understand?

2. Re: Transfer Android DPS app
Andrey_ZR Jun 16, 2014 12:49 AM (in response to Neil Enns - Adobe)I want to know about ability to download folios or app on external memory, for example on SD card. We have released the app (v30.3) and received many user reports about impossibility to download the folio on a device due lack of internal memory. People also mention, that they have a plenty of space on SD card and unable to use it. Folio size is about 300Mb.
At the same time some devices CAN download folio on external memory!
Look at the attached screenshot, it's from Alcatel smartphone.
Can you tell me, what devices actually can use external memory for folio storage?
And what are the requirements for Android devices to use Native Viewer app (processor etc.)?

Neil Enns - Adobe Jun 16, 2014 6:07 AM (in response to Andrey_ZR)Ah! Right now we only support downloading to internal storage. We have plans to add support for storing on external storage, but we haven't done the work yet.
The only requirement is Android 4.0.3 or later.

Andrey_ZR Jun 16, 2014 6:48 AM (in response to Neil Enns - Adobe)Neil, thank you for clarification!
I have another question - some users tell us they can't download our folio, but they have more than 1Gb free on internal memory. Folio size is about 300Mb. Why is it happening? Is there some improvements with storage in v31?

5. Re: Transfer Android DPS app
Neil Enns - Adobe Jun 16, 2014 11:12 AM (in response to Andrey_ZR)We didn't make any storage changes in our latest release. Do you have Site Catalyst analytics to look at what the download failure types you see are?

Neil Enns - Adobe Jun 17, 2014 4:39 AM (in response to Andrey_ZR)Adobe Analytics should have a report that shows the download errors your readers are getting as well. Check there and see what it says.

Neil Enns - Adobe Jun 17, 2014 5:32 AM (in response to Andrey_ZR)See http://www.adobe.com/devnet/digitalpublishingsuite/articles/dps-analytics-tutorial.html for information on analytics and how to access the baseline analytics you have access to, which include a issue download failure report.

Andrey_ZR Jul 9, 2014 6:33 AM (in response to Neil Enns - Adobe)Neil, i see there only information about download error count in baseline analytics.
Issue Download Error Type is available only for Site Catalyst, that's also mentioned there.
Have i missed something?
