How can I avoid instances of 'B/' causing a line feed/return, for example the text:
'some ones title being B/Sgt Forman general',
is flowed within a paragraph as:
some ones title being B/
Sgt forman general
How do I stop this happening, need something like a hypenation exception, 'B/' is a 'break' command in some apps ...
In what context have you this problem?
I suspect the paragraph composer is just choosing to break at the slash because it's near the end of the line and the text composes better that way, at least that's waht's happening here, and no hyphen is being inserted.
Easiest thing migh be to create a character style for No Break and apply it as a GREP style in your paragraph style using the expression B/\w which will probably force the b/ down to the next line as well.
Sorted, created a character style of no break, and then added a GREP to the Paragraph style - where it applied the character style 'no break' to the text string ... excellent feature GREP.
