    No Apps in Apps Tab

    StarJockey Level 1

When I open CC Desktop (Mac) and click on the Apps Tab, I get a Download Error message:

      Screen Shot 2014-03-30 at 8.38.04 PM.png

      Clicking Reload button does nothing.

      Any suggestions?

      Thanks!

          Hi Star Jockey,

          Welcome to Adobe Forum,

          Please follow the mentioned steps:

          1.  Navigate to Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE and rename it to OOBE.old

          2. Enable root account: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1528 and log on to root

          3. Disable any security software if installed on Mac

          4.Delete opm.db file located at :MAC : ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe

(opm.db file is present in your user library. This library is hidden from MAC 10.7 onwards.

So in order to locate that,

          • Click on Go at the top
          • Select Go to folder
          • type ~/library/
          • This will take you to the library folder and then you can locate opm.db file at Application Support/Adobe)

          5. Download CC desktop from www.creative.adobe.com and try to install it.

Incase you are not successfull then please Check the Activity Monitor and see if AAM process is running, if yes then try to kill the process.

opm.db file needs to be deleted in order to process further.

          WIN 7 and 8 (64 bit):

            Dear Rajshree,

Thank you for the quick response. Unfortunately, jumping through those

            hoops yielded the same result.

I use CC on a PC at work and on a Mac at home (same license). To date I

have not had a problem on the PC. I am updating programs as I write to

            you.

CC Desktop worked fine at home until about a week ago. I updated CC

recently. Perhaps it is an incompatibility with Apple. I am using OSX

10.9.2 on my Mac at home.

            I'm stumped.

            Warm regards,

                Rajshree,

I had already been through a fairly lengthy uninstall/reinstall routine

with Adobe Support. No help. Their last suggestion was to log on as root

user, which I tried. Still no luck.

                Thanks again for your efforts.

I have been having the exact same problem. They had me go through all of those steps although not in that order and still I got the error reading. I plan to go home this evening and see if I can start over. It's good to have this list.
