And I don’t recall if you said whether or not you’re using an Intel Mac. If so, you are doomed to this type of performance since you need to use rosetta with CS2.
Bob thanx, yes you could be right but i do have a feeling that if the number of printer descriptions/drivers are reduced maybe this could solve the issue.
And yes since its a SnowLeopard yes its an Intel Mac.
Then get used to lousy performance. There’s nothing you can do.
For this issue, I’d export a PDF and print that. In fact, that’s my advice for anyone, any time with any version of InDesign.
I think Bob is correct. The Print dialog on the Mac always used to be very slow compared to Windows.
When the Mac version of InDesign was rewritten with InDesign CC, it's now comparably fast. Unless you're willing to update, I think you'll have to get used to it.
