No. BC can't do that. BC is a basic CMS platform with eCommerce component.
You should look at POS applications with that type of functionality.
Cheers,

Thank you much for the reply. I know I can go through my payment processor with this, but was looking for some way to get the information into BC at the same time.
Just wondering.

Liam Dilley Apr 3, 2014 5:10 AM (in response to scott.mandell)You would have the system feed into BC API on every transaction BUT it would also need to sync with BC to manage stock etc. Possible but a lot of work.

scott.mandell Apr 3, 2014 5:26 AM (in response to Liam Dilley)Hi Liam,
Understand what you're saying, and yes, to have my payment processor data be fed back into BC would be a lot of work. After this one trade show all payments will come via BC online payment capabilities towards the payment processor as a monthly or annual subscription. so we may have to just suck it up for the 3 day show, and do manual entry for $ figures in BC.
We have no inventory as we sell software under license that is managed by a separate server.
Thanks for the input!

Lynda Spangler Apr 3, 2014 12:24 PM (in response to scott.mandell)Hi Scott,
I saw a solution that may help you. The idea is you would open a webform on the BC site. On this webform page (could be the checkout page for your site) you have javascript code that will parse the data from the credit card reader and insert the data into the appropriate form fields. You have to manually enter the CCV Code (number on back of card) but this may help you. (That number isn't stored in the mag strip.)
Unfortunately I don't have the code to do this in front of me but I have seen it. Try searching Google for this.
Hope it helps.
