I just tried it. It's still crashing on the splash screen, however, it did update to 12.2.
The error that I get when it crashes is:

Which graphic/display card are you using?
If you are using an intel or AMD graphic card. Open system preferences and check
if there is any entry of Cuda over there. If yes, navigate to MacHD>Library>Framework
And move the entry for cuda.framework to trash. Then try to launch After effects.
I'm using an Intel graphics card, the problem was that I had installed CUDA when I did not have an NVIDIA graphics card... so after deleting all of the CUDA files it finally launched!
However, when I use Warp Stabalizer, it stops and says "Error (515) (25 ::101) can't launch Analysis Server". Any idea what the problem could be?
