    How do I delete "AppHelp (Default) - Index"?

      In RoboHelp 10 I created a second Index that I want to use called "Index - Windows".

       

      The original Index named "AppHelp (Default) - Index" includes hundreds of topics that are absolute garbage as a result of creating it with the Index Wizard! But I cannot delete this because the Delete choice is grayed out.

       

      What do I do to get rid of this (or empty it of all content without deleting one thing at a time?)

       

      Also, why is the Index list not in alphabetical order? How can I force the topics into alphabetical order?

          Hi there

           

          To sort the index, right click inside the index and you should see an option to sort.

           

          As far as deleting, you likely are trying to delete the Index file nominated as the Default. If your goal is to delete this file, right-click the other one and try setting it as Default. Once you do that you should see the Delete option is now available. But it should be fairly straightforward to just select an index term and press and hold the Delete key to rapidly delete terms.
