New Computer

My present computer is five years old and needs to be replaced. The operating system is Windows XP Pro with Service Pak 3. It has two Intel Dual Core Processors(3.00 GHz, 2.48 GB of Ram and 500 Gigabyte Hard Drive). I need a computer to handle HD video. I will be creating Blu Ray disks. What are the minimum requirements? I will be using Premiere Elements 12. I also posted this message on the Hardware Forum.

Michael,

Probably about the same recs. as you will receive at the Hardware Forum, but here are what I would be looking for:

i7 CPU (faster = better)
Min. 8GB RAM, with more = better
Win7, or Win8/8.1 OS
At least two physical, at least 7200 RPM HDD's, internally
GPU - any newer card w/ at least 1GB VRAM
