I had been having problems with my Internet sound going out now and again so I uninstalled all the flashlayer software and renstalled the latest versions but I still have no sound playing internet videos. I have checked everything and reinstalled drivers but still no sound. Can anyone help? I have a Dell XPS with the latest version of IE.
Latest version of IE
For Vista that would be 9
For 7, 8, or 8.1 it'd be 11
It's probably not relevant though, because Flash Player has no volume controls. It uses the "skin" from the Flash container in the webpage to adjust volume. Try setting YouTube to HTML5 (which doesn't use the Flash Plug-in) and see if the sound plays properly. https://www.youtube.com/html5?gl=CA
If it does, it's likely a browser setting affecting Flash. If it doesn't, it's a system setting.
