2. Re: Premiere CC questions
JSS1138 Apr 8, 2014 6:19 PM (in response to Joe Riggs)1. All available shortcuts can be found under Edit>Keyboard Shortcuts...
2. Click the flyout menu for the sequence, you will get the option to set the sequence timecode.
3. I can't compare, but in PP Match Frame opens the clip in the Source Monitor on that same frame. Which clip it opens is affected by various modifiers.
4. Alt+Select the audio clips to temporarilly 'unlink' them from the video.
5. See answer 1.

4. Re: Premiere CC questions
Mark Mapes Apr 8, 2014 6:45 PM (in response to JSS1138)3) what kind of content? A regular A/V clip? A merged clip? Nested sequence? ...
4) In addition to selecting track items as Jim notes, also note that the Alt+selection trick works not only for selecting a track item but also for edit points. For example, select the Rolling Edit tool and then Alt+click the edit point between two audio clips: only the edit point for the selected track is activated. Since you have multiple audio channels, Shift+Alt+Click the other edit points. Of course, since you have multiple audio channels, it's probably quicker to just lock the video track after all.

Joe Riggs Apr 9, 2014 12:48 AM (in response to Mark Mapes)Thanks everyone!
3. Merged clips (it seems to only be an issue with merged clips).
Regarding Match frame, I'm running into the following issues on CC 7.2.1, (not split clips):
A. It displays the correct frame but incorrect in and out points.

B. It displays the correct frame but NO in and out points.

In the images you can see CC is also marking these clips as out of sync, they're actually
in sync so I'm not sure what's going on there. Is this affecting the match frame?

Yup, when I type "lock" or "tracks" into shortcuts nothing comes up that indicates you can lock tracks via a hotkey.

shooternz Apr 10, 2014 1:18 PM (in response to Joe Riggs)Shift Click is it until upcoming update.
"move" search in KBD shortcuts gives the OP options for what he wanted though.

9. Re: Premiere CC questions
Joe Riggs Apr 14, 2014 7:10 PM (in response to Joe Riggs)Nothing regarding the merge clips issue?
I'm also getting a glitch in my final export, there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why,
out of 8 exports it sometimes there and sometimes not.

It's this white and green line across the top of the frame for a couple seconds, and it
hapens right after a fade from black.
Source footage: Red files, effect colorista (it may have something to do with colorista but why would it happen intermittently?)
Export: Mpeg2-DVD (tried cbr, vbr, and vbr2-pass)

Joe Riggs wrote:
1. Is there a short cut for moving clips up and down between tracks ala FCP7? if you have to set it up mnually what's the command called in the keyboard shortcuts window?
1. Yes, Option Up or Option Down. It's called "Nudge Clip Selection.
You might want to update to Premiere Pro CC (7.2.2). My Match Frame is working perfectly, even with Merged Clips. For exporting, try removing third party plug-ins and see if you get a cleaner result.
Thanks,

I missed that. There is some weirdness with Merged Clips. We'll see if the next major release has any fixes. -
