1. Re: New Forum Layout and bugs?
Trevor Dennis Apr 10, 2014 3:24 AM (in response to Trevor Dennis)The above post uploaded with no error, so this is simply a test to see if it only happens with replies.
[EDIT] This one loaded OK as well.

2. Re: New Forum Layout and bugs?
Trevor Dennis Apr 10, 2014 4:48 AM (in response to Trevor Dennis)Yep, it's happening every time I try to reply in an existing thread. I click on Post, and get the error message, so I click on Cancel because I've already double posted today after believing the error message, and my reply is not there. Nut if I refresh the page, my reply _is_ there.
This confusing and a PITA. Am I really the only person with this problem?
[EDIT] just happened again, but the post was there after a refresh.

6. Re: New Forum Layout and bugs?
Trevor Dennis Apr 10, 2014 3:39 PM (in response to Curt Y)Thanks for the heads up Curt. So it is to do with secure content? I was getting an OS message asking if I was OK to view non secure content after the forum came back on line, so I had fixed that by going to Internet Options > Security > Custom Content and enable Show mixed content. That stopped the Secure Content pop-up, but didn't change the posting error.
I've just installed Furefox (28) and am posting this from that browser, so I'm about to find out if it made any difference.
[EDIT] Well that went straight up with no error message. I'll keep using Firefox and see how it works out.

7. Re: New Forum Layout and bugs?
Trevor Dennis Apr 10, 2014 3:51 PM (in response to Trevor Dennis)OK, I have made three more replies without getting the error message, so Firefox appears to bypass the problem.

9. Re: New Forum Layout and bugs?
Trevor Dennis Apr 10, 2014 6:53 PM (in response to Michael D Sullivan)I'm conistantly doing OK with Firefox 28 now, but I somehow found myself in IE11 a few minutes ago, and straight away got the error again. I have now closed IE11, and will try not to use it in future. I believe there are all sorts of cracking add-ons for Firefox, but I have always been too lazy to track them down and install them. Time to man up and get it done methinks.

Silkrooster Apr 10, 2014 9:19 PM (in response to Trevor Dennis)Yeah, I am getting security issues in IE. Not all objects are secured. I don't recall this issue before. It seams fine in firefox.

11. Re: New Forum Layout and bugs?
Trevor Dennis Apr 10, 2014 9:31 PM (in response to Silkrooster)Bruce, it is not clear from the very interesting thread that Curt linled to back up this thread, whether the forum upgrade was fully implemented. The site was down for about 18 hours (I think) so the comment about possible technial problems preventing the full change over, might be right.
