It's not uncommon for folks to find that using a production quality sound file works best in AE.
Was it an MP3 before you converted it?
I have been using aftereffects professionally for 12 years.
Never ever had this issue. There are some audio problems with the previews update, so maybe this is new, or still not fixed?
I still cannot use any sound that is embedded into a .mov.
This is a new bug and very annoying.
Especially if you are making a comp with 20 mp4's that have audio.
I'm not gonna extract the audio first for every movie.
What is up?
Anyone having the same issues?
Multipasser, What OS and version of AE? I'm having no problems on a Mac with OSX 10.9.2, CC 22.214.171.124 , and video from a Canon DSLR, GoPro, Sony XDCam, Panasonic Varicam, or my iPhone.
Please file a bug if everything is up to date and look for 3rd party codec pacs.
I'm on Mac with OSX 10.9.2, CC 126.96.36.199.
I've been using AE for 15+ years, never ever had this problem!
So it is definitily new. I have Prores and Avid Dnxhd installed.
No other soft and it used to work before the few minor AE version updates in the last months.
When I want to export using the AIFF preset in AE it fails, when I custom preset with .wav output it works.
I need to import that file and render the comp. But then it outputs perfeclty in Prores of Avid but with random results, sometimes there is audio, sometimes not.
I have checked the filesl over and over.
