My InDesign CS6 cannot function hardly at all when I try to edit this one 10 page document. It has a lot of graphics, but still, what should I do? Do you think the file is corrupt? My InDesign works well with all other documents. I have seen this before with some 4 pg documents that have a lot of pictures. Should I be making them as books rather than documents? I've never used the book setting before.
Does it have a lot of pasted art or embedded graphics? That's a performance killer. Working from a network location, or removeable drive might be a problem as well.
You can try doing a Save As to clean out old change info, or export to .idml to remove minor corruption. See Remove minor corruption by exporting
Thanks so much! I exported to a .idml and then saved the .idml as a new .indd and now it's working like a well-oiled machine again!
Have a good day!
