Issues with OWC hard drives?

Is anyone else having issues with OWC drives (internal or external, but particularly external) being recognized in the Media Browser?

I recently purchased an OWC Raid external drive. However, it does not work properly with Premiere, or After Effects, for that matter. The drive will show up in the Media Browser under "Local Drives", however I am unable to do anything with the drive or data on it: double clicking does not open the drive, there is no way to import or reference files on the drive, etc.

Adobe Support says that this is a problem their enginearing team "is aware of" and that they are working on a fix. However, I'm wondering how widespread this is. I found one other thread with mention of a similar issue with an OWC drive here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/6142548

Any comments or advice would be appreciated.

Sorry that this won't help you out of your jam, but I have 2 OWC RAIDs (Elite Pro QX2) connected via USB3 to my iMac and they work just fine - Set to RAID 5 - running latest OS and CC.

Mine isn't showing up either.. just got two 16Tb drives. Any ideas? Should I format using disk utility which is the only idea I have seen. My drive does not show up in media browser. I don't think disk utility can format it correctly for raid 5. Cripes.

SOLUTION: Do not use the supplied format utility that OWC ships with the RAID. I got a second one today and used the format function in Disk Utility (OS X 10.9.3) and the drive shows up in Media Browser in PP CC. I am transferring everything from the first drive, will re-format it and then use for a daily backup.
