bob.treitman Apr 11, 2014 12:05 PM (in response to bob.treitman)BTW: What trouble shooting section did you start with? What was the URL? I would like to see if I can reproduce your experience with it.

3. Re: This is very frustrating
Pete Millington Apr 11, 2014 12:05 PM (in response to bob.treitman)Thanks Bob. I'll try again in that case.
I've attempted to upload some PDF documents, all under 2GB, to Acrobat.com. They are lengthy documents granted, each about 240 pages of A4 so the upload time is about 10 minutes. Then as soon as it reaches 100% I get an error message saying there is a problem but no indication as to what the problem is. So I don't know if its something I can rectify. Incidentally a file of similar size has worked. The same happens for both 'send files' and 'store files'.
I paid the subscription as Adobe is obviously a very trusted product and it seems a great way for me to share my lengthy family history documents with relatives. So I'm dissappointed to encounter problems so early.

bob.treitman Apr 11, 2014 12:12 PM (in response to Pete Millington)So that I can better respond, can you clarify which Acrobat.com service you are attempting to upload to? You posted this inquiry in the SendNow forum, but it doesn't sound from your writeup that that's what you're using.
Are you trying to upload to workspaces.acrobat.com or cloud.acrobat.com? From your description, it sounds like the latter but I want to make sure. How large are the files that you are attempting to upload?

Pete Millington Apr 11, 2014 12:12 PM (in response to Pete Millington)The exact message reads: An error occurred whilst trying to access the service.

6. Re: This is very frustrating
Pete Millington Apr 11, 2014 12:20 PM (in response to Pete Millington)The subscription I paid was to Adobe send now. So when I have my PDF open I go into the menu and click Share Files using Sendnow online. The little box at the right side opens. I have tried both Send Files and Store Files. The upload process begins and the files appear to upload up to 100% and then I get the message above and then back to square 1.
The largest file size I have attempted is 80MB. So, some way under the 2GB?

7. Re: This is very frustrating
bob.treitman Apr 11, 2014 12:20 PM (in response to Pete Millington)Are you attempting to upload the files through Adobe Reader or Acrobat? And are you trying to *store* the files for sharing or send them via Adobe SendNow?
If you are trying to do it through Reader or Acrobat, please try the appropriate web client:
For SendNow, go to https://sendnow.acrobat.com/signin.html
For Workspaces, go to https://workspaces.acrobat.com/signin.html
For Acrobat.com (also known as Adobe Document Services), go to https://cloud.acrobat.com/
Hope this helps!

bob.treitman Apr 11, 2014 12:23 PM (in response to bob.treitman)Sorry, we seem to have been composing messages simultaneously.
Since you're trying to send them via SendNow, please try the web client for it. https://sendnow.acrobat.com/signin.html
It should work from within Adobe Reader, but since you're having trouble there, let's see what happens when you go directly to the SendNow client.

11. Re: This is very frustrating
Pete Millington Apr 11, 2014 12:30 PM (in response to Pete Millington)I am trying that now as we speak its uploading again. However, I'm slightly concerned there's no store file option on that cilent page. In fairness I may need to search one out, as what I don;t want to have to do is upload the same document over and over every time I email it to someone new. But I may be jumping the gun there. I'll see how this goes first!

12. Re: This is very frustrating
bob.treitman Apr 11, 2014 12:37 PM (in response to Pete Millington)It doesn't sound as though SendNow is the service that you want. It's separate from the storing service. While you can forward a file on, once it's been uploaded, that is not an ideal solution for you.
I suggest that you look at Acrobat.com which is accessible at https://cloud.acrobat.com/ and does allow for sharing of files. You can send out a link and your friends/family can download from there. This *should* work from within Reader; I'm a bit puzzled as to why it's not for you. But give it a try from the web.
If this works, contact Customer Support and request a refund for your SendNow subscription. I can't do that from the forum; this is for technical support issues.
(BTW: It does look, from my logs, as though your upload did succeed.)

13. Re: This is very frustrating
Pete Millington Apr 11, 2014 12:43 PM (in response to Pete Millington)Bob.... it has worked this time and guess what? I think the penny has just dropped too. Send now is not the same thing as file storage - my subscription is for Send now and it keeps the file for 30 days which is good for me. So I must apologise for (1) not reading the information fully and (2) turning into Mr Angry from Birmingham rather too quickly.
You have solved my problem. When I next go and visit the Pope I will be sure to remind him about your saint hood for supporting people like me so effectively.
