Trying to download Flash Player to a new computer with Windows 8 and Firefox.

I keep getting a message: "only a single instance of this application can run..." I have followed the instructions for enableing Flash/Firefox. When I open add ons/extenstions Flash isn't listed. Suggestions?

You won't find it in "Extensions". It's listed under "Plug-ins" if it's installed.
