I don't know that I phrased that question entirely correctly, but I work on InDesign CS6 on a Mac at school designing my school newspaper and recently just got InDesign CS6 for my PC. We have templates for our pages and how they look, our shortkeys and numerous amounts of already created character/paragraph styles and what not. Just wondering if their was a way to get all that kind of stuff onto my version of InDesign at home so I can work on the paper outside of school as well? Thanks.
The styles are stored in the template, so all you need to do is open it to use them. Shortcuts are not going to transfer across platforms, though.
Is the template on the Mac something I can just copy to a drive or something then load it up to my PC version?
Yup. It's just another documetn file, except it has the .indt extension to designate template (if someone bothered to do that) and prevent accidental overwriting.
