    Hotspot changes on mouse rollover

How do I get a hotspot to change on rollover to overlaying a painted line over the hotspot'd area?

It's an image of a map for my hunting club. I want the user to be able to hover their cursor over different hotspots areas on the map and have a line that I've made using the paint brush appear over the hotspot area, so you can see a trail line or whatever.

Basically, I want the user to be able to hover over a spot where a trail is and have a line appear on the hover, once the mouse is moved to another area (off of the hotspot) I want it to disappear again.

I hope I explained it well enough.

I tried playing with the hotspot tools, but couldn't find what I wanted to do after trying multiple things.

      Someone please help me.

You need to slice the image instead of creating an image map. Use the
Swap image behavior to swap in a piece of the image with a line drawn on it.

I tried slicing the image, but I don't know how to swap the before image to the image of a trail line with the painted brush line over the trail. Like, I guess I need to cut out the trail 'after' image.

In the Frames panel, duplicate Frame 1. Draw the lines where you want
them on Frame 2. Click on one of the slices, and then click on the
little target shaped icon that p[ops up in the middle. Choose either
Simple Rollover or Swap Image from the menu. Read the help files for
more details on swap image behaviors.
