Adobe Flash Player update installation crashes on a Windows 7 IE 11 browser

Can someone assist me as to what might be taking place when I try to update Adobe Flash player from 12.0.0.77 to the new version.  I am running Windows 7 and Internet Explorer browser ver. 11.  When I click 'Download' a bar appears asking me if I want to 'save' or 'run' the installation.  No matter which one I pick IE 11 crashes and will not allow any action to take place.  Appreciate any assistance I can get on this issue.

Right click this link: Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer) and select "Save target as".

IF IE still crashes doing that, you need to either repair IE: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318378  or try a different browser, like Firefox: http://www.mozilla.org/
