I am making a flash game for class. The game is about 58 scenes long. Scene 1 is our menu screen. We have a background audio track that we want to play on loop only within the first scene. This scene is only 1 frame long with our background image layer, actionscript layer, and the audio in the last layer. The audio is within a movie clip. I have our audio set on stream and loop in the sync settings. However, it isn't playing at all within the scene. I believe it has something to do with the stop(); that we have in effect until someone clicks the new game button. We are new to flash and are quite frustrated. Any help would be appreciated.
you should not attach sounds to timelines if you want precise control of your sounds, and use actionscript.
that said, your sound will play if you assign its sync property to event, instead of stream.
Put your audio in its own separate MovieClip that does not have a stop() action.
