Perhaps, it says it is supported in 6.7, 7.1. So should work. From posts I have read the camera raw starting in 7.2 is far superior to the older version. So if you are really into working with raw images an upgrade to CS6 might be worth while to get most from high end camera. With CS6 current ACR is 8.4

Yes, absolutely, no contest. The D800 already has an almost unprecedented dynamic range, and Process Version 2012 (ACR 7.1 and up), with its new highlight recovery algorithm, really makes it shine. Using PV 2010 (up to ACR 6.7) on that camera feels almost like a waste.
