    The $width component (in AxisRenderer)

      Hey all,

I'm a bit confused here. I'm working with charts and i'm looking at a chart with a vertical axis that can change width, because the maximum displayed scale value does change at data change.

When i try to find out the width of my chart's verticalAxis component, i get returned a number that is (in my case) about four times as high as the actual width of the axis part while scaleX (and Y) are at 1. The correct width is held in an internal property named "$width". Debugging into the UIComponent.as, i see that $width is calculated with super.width (from FlexSprite?).

Is there a recommended way to retrieve the actual size from an AxisRenderer? Will I encounter this effect in other components?

Thanks in advance for you help!
