For security reasons, Flash SWFs cannot write to the local disk. There are some security docs on the Flash product site. One way to get a SWF locally is to use FlashPaper. You could write a custom utility that converts to other formats
It should works but has many security problems.
ddanone: yes, it should work. Can you provied some Activex controls that can be used? Only IE is acceptable.
Hi, I just want to make user copy the image from flash and paste it in word as esay as possible.
My current solution still need server involved:
1. Collect the pixels info into a BitmapData object
2. Encode the BMP into JPEG to reduce the size
3. send the JPEG data to server
4. server return a jpg file to user.
You can use "My Screen Capture" from Namtuk http://www.namtuk.com/myscreencapture.aspx
Another control i've recently discovered but not tested is "Precision Display Capture" at http://www.precisionocx.com/ it looks more efficient than Namtuk.
Here you have a piece of code to test the Namtuk control:
Hope this helps!
