Just to clear things up:
Can I change in the "Scale, Rotate and Drag" script so that the scaling occurs when different buttons is pressed instead?
Here's a demonstration of a behavior that allows you to zoom in and out by pressing two buttons: http://nonlinear.openspark.com/tips/imaging/zoom/.
To keep it simple, I have not included an option to drag the resized image.
Wow thanks! Can I perhaps just put a drag script on top of the picture afterwards? Or would that screw it all up? But this is so in the right direction!
I'll try to explain even better: I've worked for about a year on a 10 000 pixel wide picture and I want to be able to zoom and pan over it, but I'm in no means a coder, hence I need a somewhat simple code (or instructions) so I can do this... The zoom there was definately on the right track but I couldn't apply it to my picture...
The standard drag, resize and rotate wasn't way off, but I would very much want to be able to zoom with buttons and then drag the picture... Is this possible with some simple scripts that I can just apply?
Sorry for being a n00b btw...
Try again at http://nonlinear.openspark.com/tips/imaging/zoom/. The new version allows you to drag the image around if it is bigger than the host sprite. It doesn't yet remember where you dragged it to last. I'll deal with that later.
