    Formatting CVs in InDesign

I am formatting a friend's CV in InDesign but not quite sure how to do it so he can later on update and change the content if he doesn't have access to the program. Would it make sense to create an interactive PDF so he can just fill in the text fields?

It would be better to d it in Word if he needs to edit later (not to mention that MANY potential employers require Word format and will toss a PDF in the trash because the person submitting obviously can't follow directions).

Any reason for using InDesign for formatting the CV?

CVs always require regular updating - everything from text tweaks to full-on re-structuring the layout.

Word seems to be the ideal tool for this - it's ubiquitous and everyone can use it - rather than a specialised tool such as InDesign.

Plus, as Peter says, employers may want a .docx/.doc format submitted.
