I'm somewhat new to Ae and am starting to comp some of my shots for my stop-motion film. A lot of the shots will require set extensions and I was wondering if I could use layers that are .psds and import them in a way that when I update the .psd in Ps the new edits automatically update in Ae. Sort of like when you send a clip to Ae from Pr. There will be a lot of these long vista shots so I need to tweak colors and foliage ect. If someone knows of a better way to do this then you can gather from the image attach please chime in.
Thanks in advance!
Yes, if you change any source item (whether a .psd file or anything else), changes will be incorporated when the project is opened or any time that a footage reload is triggered---e.g., when you switch back to After Effects from another application.
Thanks for that. That is what i though, but at that moment it wasn't doing it. Being newish to Ae I thought I may have missed a step during the prompt that come up when you import a psd. Everything is working just fine now. Cheers!
