I chromakeyed the top image shot against green screen. It keyed cleanly. No problems. But when I try and color correct so the images blend/match - I can only see one image at a time. What am I doing wrong?
I can export the top image with alpha channel to FCP and color balance there (seeing both images without problem). But I'd rather stay in AE.
Sorry if the answer is blindingly obvious to all but a dolt. But the obvious has a habit of eluding me.
Are you in the layer view, or the comp view? You'll need to be in the comp view in order to see both layers.
As vfxKid1024 says, you should be in the composition view.
Also, what do you mean by "seeing both channels"? Do you mean layers? You're not using vocabularly familiar with After Effects. It sounds like you really need to get a good foundation in the basics. Start here. Going through those resources will help to prevent a lot of frustration.
