When I first got CC, my CS5 settings did not transfer so my work space was too long to get at my tools at the bottom right hand side of the layers section. This happened to me in the beginning and an Adobe tech fixed it quickly. However, the problem just return and I cannot reach the drop shadow, emboss, color overlay, layer function tools as they are out of reach. It has been a big problem and I cannot remember how to fix it. Can any one out there help me?
Have you tried changing to one of the default Workspaces?
Also the Layers Styles (which are not called Tools) are available under Layer > Layer Style.
Edit: … and by double-clicking a Layer in the Layers Panel.
Have you been using another monitor or projector? What operating system? Can you make the Photoshop window fill the screen with an OS shortcut like Windows up arrow? (I obviously don't know what OS you have)
I have definitely had Workspace issues where the only way to fix it was by resetting Preferences. In actual fact, I bet most of us can wiz through and put Preferences bact to the way we want it after a reset, in less than a minute!
