2. Re: Add page, keep all subsequent pages flow intact?
straightlife Apr 24, 2014 12:57 PM (in response to P Spier)This is the best I can do...
I added a blank page after page 101 to accommodate extra text I planned to add.
Obviously that doesn't work. What I need to do is allow the TEXT to flow but keep the pictures where they are.
That way, I can add text to page 101 and have it extend the paragraph on page 111 to the end of that page WITHOUT making ALL the subsequent pictures throughout the entire rest of the book MOVE. Which they do. I want to FREEZE everything after page 111. Is that possible?

3. Re: Add page, keep all subsequent pages flow intact?
P Spier Apr 24, 2014 2:37 PM (in response to straightlife)Is the text threaded? It sounds to me like you just need to insert (by typing or pasting) the text where you want it on page 101 and let the rest of the thread reflow. If you then find you need an extra page, add it t the end of the story to pick up the overset.

4. Re: Add page, keep all subsequent pages flow intact?
straightlife Apr 24, 2014 2:45 PM (in response to P Spier)Yes, it's threaded. But the photos tend to move ahead, and I can't figure out why. And I can't anchor them to text when they aren't immediately preceeded by text. In this case, it's all moot. I managed to edit down the text I need to insert and make it all come out okay. Thanks very much for your help.

5. Re: Add page, keep all subsequent pages flow intact?
P Spier Apr 24, 2014 2:48 PM (in response to straightlife)Just for the sake of clarity here, Anchored objects are tied to a location inthe text, and they SHOULD move when you edit the text. Free-floating images should stay where they are.

6. Re: Add page, keep all subsequent pages flow intact?
straightlife Apr 25, 2014 7:24 PM (in response to P Spier)Thanks. It's the full pages that cause me so much trouble. There's no way to anchor them and they just float off into the sunset.

7. Re: Add page, keep all subsequent pages flow intact?
P Spier Apr 26, 2014 2:25 AM (in response to straightlife)I think I'm not understanding you. A page with nothing but images should remain a page with nothing but images, and that page will change position if you add or remove pages, but should not be affected by changes in threaded text that jumps over the page.
