check if any of the xtras on www.updatestage.com might do it.
It used to be that you could use the webcamxtra to show the webcam output on
the screen. If the video card that you plug the cable into puts out the
right sort of output you might be able to use that. I think it requires
twain output. I believe I was playing around and got the output from a winTV
card into the webcamxtra window.
And another longshot is sometimes the software that comes with the tv input
cards will have their own activeX control that you might be able to load

Thanks for the information. I have downloaded the xtra and get a signal from my video source but the resolution is really bad. When I try to increase the size it crashes Director.
Do you have any additional information about loading the activeX control from the TV card?

Which xtra are you talking about?
If you look on updatestage you'll see a number of alternatives.
I have also found a couple of other video capture xtras and they will capture video but they don't display the preview of the video.
Does anyone know if this can but done with Flash? The video signal will be local at the Kiosk and will not have to be streamed.
