I am working on making a 4ft x 8ft poster project. My plan is to design my image, cut it up into 4 in by 6 in sections, print them out at the photo lab and then tile them back together on my wall. Much along the same concept as Blockposter or Rasterbator. Unfortunately, I just found out that my super huge file is too much for the Save For Web option to handle. So what else can I do other than manually going though all 192 slices with the Copy-Merged method?
Thanks for any help you can give me!
Slicing was really designed for web use. Though I suppose it has other uses.
What you can do is move each part of the image to its own layer. Then in File>Scripts is a command to export all layers to files. Or if you have photoshop CC you can name each layer a filename with extension to generate individual images.
