No one has any idea how to remedy this?
Wow! I am a new member and this sounds like a basic question, especially for the employees and "main contributors".
Yet no one can help???
I too would like to know this.
But am afraid my questions/problems will be ignored like this users. Surely this is not a unique question amoung the tens of thousands here?
Yes with 72 "views" I would have thought someone might help.
Still no ideas members?
I suspect the problem you are having, is finding someone who uses Nik filters. I don't, although I do have several of the Topaz plugins. Anyway, a quick look on the Nik help pages found this, that might be what you are looking for
The bottom line being to go (from Photoshop):
File > Automate > Nik Selective Tool
try to find nik software-google owns it now. They will give you a free update and the selective tool will be reinstalled.
selective tool resides in the automate menu under file menu of photoshop. perhaps you can resect it there.
Vince, I feel that I must have shouted post #5 into a cave, and that I am hearing an echo, albeit four hours later. What's that all about?
No Trevor, I AM not having a problem finding someone who uses Nik filters! It is like this some posts with questions here, some respond with help others don't. No one bothered to respond until your reply.
And I DID do a quick look on Nik help pages but did not see this. I am not making excuses for not seeing it, I just didnot see it!
I thank you for your reply and it DID cure the overall problem. I had my question fixed by "Mother Nature" yesterday. We lost power, computer restarted and viola!!! There was the 2nd missing Tools!
Now you have "educated" me on where to find the answer to my problem and again I thank you for it!
I have the latest version and know Google now owns it.
Trevor pointed me to the right menu tab.
That's ok Trevor! My high school teacher said "Repitition is the mother of learning". Regardless of an echo...which indeed is an echo...
Is the tone of your answer have to be so condescending?
And your reply to vince...
People don't always have the level of expertise that you seem to have and others don't but no need to suggest others are oblivious to things!
People need help and you are one of those that provide it! Be happy in that.
Have a Great Day!
Sorry, Trevor. I suppose I just looked right past your post. Did not mean to do that.
I have learned to spell "RESURRECT", although it may be more helpful to "RESECT" IT.
