GREP string to select the first 2 characters of an email address

    LinkNYC

I want o apply formating to the first two characters of an email address:

      nname@domain.com

the @domain.com part never changes so I can simply place it in parentesis.

So far I have manage to isolate the word in front of the email domain:

      \w+(?=@domain.com)

I want to select only the first two characters of the word before the @domain.com

      any ideas?

      Thanks!
