I'm a novice InDesign user - IE: I've never had any formal training and I am trying to figure things out as I go along. I have a file that I would like to use as a basis for another InDesign project; the difference between the two is the sizing. I determined how I need to resize the actual page size, but for all of the components in the design, is there a way to automatically resize them for the new dimensions? Or, is this done manually? Any tips for the best way to do this would be appreciated.
And, when I move objects, how do I do this without the move resulting in the loss of an image?
It would help if you told us what verson of InDesign you're using.
You'll make your life much easier if you invested in a good book like Sandee Cohen's inexpensive InDesign Visual QuickStart Guide. Here's a link to the version for InDesign CC. It's only about $20:
Thank you, Steve, for your follow up. I'll look into that book for sure.
I'm using InDesign version 6.
