Kusumas Dec 6, 2014 3:00 AM (in response to paulc89)I came across this with CS5, editing XDCAM footage on a PC. It seems likely that the .xml file that tracks the footage or the footage itself becomes somehow corrupted and causes this error. The solution I found (which might not be a good solution but it worked for me) was this:
1 Use Media Encoder to convert all the source footage into high-res H246 .mp4 files in a new location.
2 Rename the folder where all the original source video files are
3 Open the problem project and,when it says "Where is ... clip?" either go through each one, identifying the NEW versions that you have just converted or hit [Skip All] and do the right-click "Replace Footage" to use the new converted footage.
Continue editing with that footage instead.
Don't forget that you can try opening .bak backup versions of your project until you find one that works and move forward again from there.
