1. Re: Where do I find fonts ?
Dov Isaacs Apr 27, 2014 8:55 PM (in response to Garrett Connelly)Adobe certain is not the “one” (whatever that means) that is checking that fonts you use are “proper.”
If the fonts you need are in fact fonts that ship with Microsoft Windows or Microsoft Office for Windows, if you have Microsoft Office for MacOS installed, there is a strong likelihood that a large number of those fonts are also already installed on your Mac.
Since you didn't advise as to what fonts you are looking for, we can't easily give you authoritative additional advice other than that your “associates with PC” cannot simply give you copies of the Microsoft-sourced fonts on their system legally.
Most Microsoft fonts for Windows and Office can be licensed for other platforms from Ascender <http://www.ascendercorp.com/> and more specifically <http://www.ascendercorp.com/fonts/microsoft/>.

2. Re: Where do I find fonts ?
Garrett Connelly Apr 28, 2014 4:25 AM (in response to Dov Isaacs)Thanks, I have used Adobe rather than Microsoft since the mid 1990's and thus don't have those fonts.
Over the years, I have noticed that certain popdowns say only certain fonts will be allowed, so I figured there is a subroutine that checks to see if font licenses are there.
I wrote in because I want to use the fonts legally and because I am an Adobe customer.
Thanks again,
Garrett

3. Re: Where do I find fonts ?
Garrett Connelly Apr 28, 2014 4:32 AM (in response to Dov Isaacs)The fonts are MV Boli, segoe Print, Calibri, Gulim, Segoe Script, Meiro, Estrangelo Edessa, Ebrima, Corbel. One, I believe Calibri, looks like Verdana, so I sent an example with that.
Thanks again, Garrett

4. Re: Where do I find fonts ?
Dov Isaacs Apr 28, 2014 3:45 PM (in response to Garrett Connelly)I believe most of these fonts are indeed delivered with the combination of Windows 7 (or 8.x) and Microsoft Office.
With regards to checking on font licenses, the only checking that Adobe software does is for the ability to embed fonts in PDF or EPS when exporting same. The fonts in question have no embedding restrictions against at least “preview and print.”
