A few days back i've been working on a brochure which suddenly crashed. InDesign CS6 crashed saying it has encountered a unknown error and therefore InDesign will be closed.
The problem is, InDesign only crashes on opening that specific file, every other file works just fine. I can try to open it, but it'll crash right after opening, i have no time to export or save.
Is this a known bug/crash and what to do?
Try the script in this thread: Adobe Community: InDesign 6 is crashing when attempting to open a particular document. All others are opening OK.
If the crash is happening during auto-recovery at restart, empty the InDesign Recovery folder and start up normally, then try to openthe last saved version fromthe File menu.
Please email your InDesign file to firstname.lastname@example.org and I will take a look at the document.
If the file is larger than 10 Mb, you can zip (and password protect) the file and upload to Creative Cloud account (or Dropbox) and send us the document link.
