(Before I start this discussion might I say that navigating through these forums is a PAIN. Infact, it wouldnt even let me log in. I had to try 3 different browsers to get here. Anyways, here's my discussion)
I don't use Adobe stuff much apart from Flash Player, partly becasue it's so expensive, but I wanted to get Flash Pro becasue I like animating and stuff. I got creative cloud and went to get Flash.
Fast forward a few minutes...
"Installation of flash pro was successful but the patch or update failed". That's it. No error code or anything. Oh well, I thought, I'll just use the slightly out-of-date version. Ah, this is fun. Gotta love animating... Let's add sound... NOPE. BAD IDEA. I had my volume pretty high becasue the audio I imported was quiet. And out of nowhere this crazy loud buzzing noise played. My first reflex was to pause the animation. For some reason the noise persisted and I literally threy my headphones off my head.
(My mom came in becasue she heard the loud noise through my headphones.)
So yeah, I googled that problem and it turned out that you need to get an update to fix it.
But the update didn't work, as I said earlier.
So I directly downloaded it from Adobe.
Fast forward a few minutes again...
It says it has an invalid checksum. Why? So I skipped the verification anyway an persisted in using it to update Flash. And surprise surprise, the update failed. Sigh... This time it gave me a link to an error log. And that's when it gave me that error code. Nothing else at all. But at least it has actually giving me some information! But nothing else. So, somehow went wrong between your servers and my computer.
Something similar happened to me with Camtasia. We sorted it when they gave me an FTP download link.
So, could you give me a FTP download link? That's what worked before. (BTW, I'm using OSX)
(I would upload pictures but the Insert Image thing either isnt working of is being too slow for me to care.)

Hmm...I checked the log and couldnt find many errors.
Here are the links to the 'Installers' logs:
Adobe CSXS Insfastructure:
Adobe Extension Manager:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/vxm2jj7njjf8pcj/Adobe%20Extension%20Manager%20CC%207.0%2003-28-2014.log.gz
And the one you're probably most interested in...
Adobe Flash Professional:
Keep in mind that I had a few Flash logs, probably becasue I tried installing it a few time. I picked one at random.
Here are some errors I found in there:
04/25/14 22:26:49:363 | [ERROR] | | OOBE | DE | | | | 171600 | DF037: Unable to delete directory "/Applications/Adobe/AdobePatchFiles". Check and correct folder & parent directory permissions and then try again.(Seq 2961)
04/25/14 22:26:49:363 | [ERROR] | | OOBE | DE | | | | 171600 | DF037: Unable to delete directory "/Applications/Adobe". Check and correct folder & parent directory permissions and then try again.(Seq 2962)
And lots more like that. It's not able to delets something, apperently.
Also, here are times where "error' was said in user diagnostics report:
Error Code: 0x02000148
VMError::report_and_die() + 2306
dvacore::config::ErrorManager::ExecuteFunction<void>(boost::function0<void>*, void*) + 68
flashpro::ErrorManager::ExecuteFunctionWithTopLevelExceptionHandler(boost::function0<int>) + 71
dvacore::config::ErrorManager::ExecuteFunctionWithTopLevelExceptionHandler<void>(boost::function0<void>, bool*) + 140
So... yeah. You can look at those files if you want. Tell me if you want anything else. Thanks

UntoldAnimations looking at the error you posted it appears that you are facing a file permission failure with your current User account. Please see Error "Exit 6" or "Exit 7" | Install log | Read, write, system file errors | CS5, CS5.5 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-exit-6-exit-7.html for information on how to adjust the file permissions on the applicable folders.
If you have multiple file permission failures then please see if there is a root directory/folder which you can adjust the file permissions for. You may also want to consider utilizing a newly created Administrator account if you find that your current User account file permissions have become severely compromised with multiple file permission failures.

Ok, good. I gave it permission to do stuff any now it's not mentioning that problem. Now it's only really giving me one error:
04/30/14 17:21:12:642 | [INFO] | | OOBE | DE | | | | 199282 | FATAL: DS003: Installer package might be corrupt. Re-download the installer and try again. (Cannot extract '/Volumes/AdobeFlash-13.1-All-Update/AdobeFlash-13.1-All-Update/payloads/AdobeFlash13.1-mul-171213180958/AdobeFlash13.1-mul-171213180958.zip' to '/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Installers/adobeTemp/{77825F1F-6717-11E3-8607-BC876A3AAD5B}'. Error: )
So I went to where that file was. I made a new folder on my desktop and copy-and-pasted it to there to test stuff. I used the Unarchiver to extract it myself. It said a few time through that it couldnt extract some parts, but I continued anyway. So yeah. Now I have that folder extracted.
I don't want to do anything else from here without your opinion. I'm a bit wary about that file. Maybe it got corrupted somehow. Just in case it's hard to read, this is the directery where I found that file:
Volumes > AdobeFlash-13.1-All-Update > AdobeFlash-13.1-All-Update > Payload > AdobeFlash13.1-mul-171213180958 > AdobeFlash13.1-mul-171213180958.zip
So yeah... at this point I have that file unzipped (possibly missing some parts of it) and if I wanted to I could put that file where it's suppoed to go. But wait a minute... when I went to
"/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Installers/adobeTemp", where it's suppoed to go, it said that folder didn't exist. Upon further inspection I found that the "Installers" part didn't even exist. Maybe when I tried to install again after I fixed the permission thing, it deleted that file as part of the installation, and then something stopped it and now that folder is gone. So no, I cant just plop that file in becasue I don't have the folder to put it on to. So apart from that, there were no other errors. I'd be dissapointed if all this led back to the 'invalid checksum' problem I originally had. Unless there's a download just for that one file I need, I don't know what to do from here. Thanks for the replys

UntoldAnimations I would not recommend moving the files into place manually. Also you do need all the files for the application to function properly. If some of the files are not being extracted then please download a new copy.
Have you tried an alternate Internet connection? If you are connecting wirelessly you would want to use a wired connection. If you are on a wired connection please try a different cable.

I was using WiFi, so now I switched to Ethernet. I actually like Ethernet better, I don't know why I dont use it most of the time, and while I'm at it I'll try different browsers. Let's try Chrome first. Nope. Still the same as before. Now for Firefox. Installing... this is taking slightly longer than usual, so maybe I'll get different results... YES! It worked. Update Successfully Installed. Good ol' Firefox. Always works. It didn't even have an invalid checksume. I never thought of downloading from a different browser. I love Firefox.
But now I cant open it. It keeps crashing. Also, my Creative Cloud doesn't register it as updated. Sigh... why can't things just work... Why should it have to be this complicated? When can't you just press a button and have it download like everything else?
As of right now I'm reinstalling Creative Cloud and Flash Professional. Y'know, this isn't very professional to be honest. I didn't even get to enjoy my first free trial because of this annoying glitch, but atleast now I think I can another free trial.

UntoldAnimations I am unsure how a web browser is relevant to downloading the updates for Creative Cloud. Have you not been using the Creative Cloud Desktop application to download and apply the updates? If not can you describe what steps you have been utilizing to obtain the update?
I might also recommend you work directly with a member of our support team. For the best assistance, I recommend our chat support at http://adobe.ly/yxj0t6. Our chat representatives can provide a personalized experience to resolve the issues you have described.

I've been getting the update from here: https://www.adobe.com/support/flash/downloads.html
But I guess I could try updating via Creative Cloud. But I can't find the log for when it doesn't work. All it's giving me is and error code U44M1I210. Which is diferent from before for some reason.
I found the logs and I'll check 'em out after I'm dont reinstalling Flash Professional
This is taking longer than usual. It stopped at 91%. That's normally where it says the installations worked but hte patch didn't.
Nope, stiff didn't work. Time to check out them logs!
Hmm... I could have sworn I found the logs... apparently that was for the other ones... Let me take a look around again

Thank you for the update UntoldAnimations. It looks like an older update is being hosted at https://www.adobe.com/support/flash/downloads.html.
As an alternative please see http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-updates-direct-links-mac.html to download a more recent update directly. If you do decide to utilize this method please make sure to complete the Very Important Instructions section prior to clicking on the download link.

My apologies most of the downloads on Prodesigns site usually require you to have signed into http://www.adobe.com/ first. It does not appear that is the case for the update links offered on this page.

I installed the update and when I ran Flash it crashed. Creative Croud is completely oblivious to what's happening. Still looking for them logs.

Ok, but first one more time I'm gonna reinstall Flash, then use your link to update one more time. The only reason that I'm still here is becasue I want the 121 other viewers watching this discussion to know the solution too. By the way, that's what is says when Flash crashes. Creative cloud keeps insisting that a new update is available even though I already installed it. There's another bug for y'all to work on.

Ok, I've tried installing it a few times and I eventually got it to work. I dunno what I did.
Anyway, CC still says there's an update. But that's Ok for me, because I never use it because I don't like it very much
