I have just created 240 page book in 12 parts in CS5. All the parts are in a "book". The book contains numerous illustrations, maps and pix. I now wish to print this as a PDF. There ae several ways to do this, but the best seems to be to export the "book" to PDF, using the Export to PDF function in the "book" menu.
This works very well, EXCEPT it only seems to print in 2 page spreads. I need a PDF file that is a continuous series of single pages that can print out on a normal printer. I have tried the three options in the printing box, but they all do the same thing. It does nor matter whether I select "default", "single page" or "single page continuous".
Comments please. Thanks
Do you export PDF for print? Then should be an option to activate/deactivate spreads.
If you export interactive PDFs, then such an option is missing in CS5, it was added in CS6.
But you can switch on and off this option via scripting. There you can find a script for interactive PDFs turning on and off: http://www.gilbertconsulting.com/resources-scripts.html
No need to run the script, since this is supposed to be printed, make sure you select PDF (Print) instead of Interactive.
