The first subscription has been canceled and you will not get charged for that subscription.

I had (have) a similar problem: several months ago my cc subscription was cancelled too (due to a creditcard mixup, my fault). Somehow I too ended up with two subscriptions. When I noticed that I was also being charged twice, I contacted support. In a chat session a friendly guy sorted things out for me: a refund was not possible, but at least he confirmed explicitely that one subscription had been cancelled by him, and that I would no longer be charged twice.
I checked my account online at the time, and everything looked OK. But guess what: I noticed yesterday that I still have two subscriptions and that I still am being charged twice.
So don't take their word for it. Check and doublecheck. And again, a few months later.
Yeah, I was reading some old threads about the (loads of) problems with wrong billing. Will keep an eye for it, thanks.
