Where have my private messages gone?

Have they been deleted as a side effect of the upgrade?

Mine are gone as well, so I think messages were Jived

I am also not able to send a new PM because the system says I have to be "following" the person... geez, this place is getting to be like Twitter

All private messages and bookmarks were deleted as part of the upgrade. You won't be getting them back.

Exactly, Claudio.

That is as close as you can get, to the abyss that all our PMs fell into. I kept about 200 important/nice conversations over the 5 years from 2009 to 2014.

This system is a horrible mess... How about letting people know they're going to be losing all their PMs/Bookmarks/Personalized Settings before the so-called upgrade takes place?
