Can i import an after effects file into indesign to use in adobe dps for ipad?

I need to create an animated header for a magazine article for ipad, which makes the header appear as if it's being written on-screen when the reader lands on that page.

I have seen a tutorial on how to create an animated signature using After Effects, but can't find any mention online if the finished file would be compatible with Adobe DPS, or even if I'll be able to import the finished file into InDesign when I'm done.

I could create this using Photoshop and call it in as an image sequence, but would like to find an easier, less time-consuming and more fluid way that would hopefully be a smaller file size too.
