    TimeLine Control

    CellaMarr

      I am trying to get my button to go and play a certain frame and once it has finished playing that frame, jump to and play another frame. So far I have only been able to get that first action to work?

      Here is the actionscript I have been using:
      portfolioBtn.onRelease=function(){
      _root.gotoAndPlay(24);
      _root.nextFrameToPlay = "btnTwoIntro";
      }

      any suggestion?

      Feel free to take a look at the file:

          Here's what's happening.... the playhead jumps to 24 and then....

          so, on Frame 24, of the main timeline, put:

          gotoAndPlay("btnTwoIntro");

          in your example, you forgot to close the parenthesis but that should have just caused an error.

            I never got an error message.
            With the actionscript on frame 24, the time line will always go and play frame "btnTwoIntro". I need to to jump to a different frame depending on what button was hit. I have different animation (an intro to a page and an outro) that is to be played for each individual button.

              label you frame like your buttons and use this:

              btnTwoIntro.onRelease=function(){
              _root.gotoAndPlay(this._name);
              //_root.gotoAndStop(this._name);
              }

                This did not work at all. My button did not even play the first action.
