stop(); to stop the timeline from progressing. then at the end of the MC a simple _root.gotoAndPlay is in order
Well, this makes sense, but I may not have it right yet. Almost!
I have a Stop action on a layer, at the end of this scene.
Three MC's are on three layers, at the end of this scene.
I now have your _root.gotoAndPlay at the end of each of three MC's (each on a layer, of course), but when I test this scene it loops all three MC's over and over.
I'd like it to move on to the next Scene, after playing each short MC.
Does using _root tell the timeline to return to the first frame of this scene, and Play?
How about simply using gotoAndPlay
Thanks! I I have to, I can post my .FLA.
It's Scene 2 that I'm working on.
I'd like it to play the three MC's on three layers, and then move on to Scene 3 I've added an extra 35 frames or so after the MC's in Scene 2, for an added pause.
sorry took so long, got busy. all i did was add frames to each MC and extend scene two a little... you can add/subtract frames from scene two to get the effect you want... just dont go over frame 125 in scene two or you need to extend the frame count in each MC as well.
Took so long? Are you kidding? :)
I can't thank you enough! When this goes live, I'll send you a link.
>just dont go over frame 125 in scene two or you need to extend the frame count in each MC as well.
Actually, each Scene will be identical in length.
