I have recently created a memory game in Flash and am doing other work in Edge Animate and would like to be able to put my flash game into the animate document. I have converted the swf file into HTML and can open it online from my own computer. I would like to know if you could get edge animate to open the file though clicking on a button, I have tried to enter the file's url when it is opened online but this hasn't worked. If this isn't possible is there a way to embed my html game into the animate document.
I hope that made sense, I am very new to both programs so go easy!
You should be able to open the HTML file in Animate as long as it's on a local hard drive - just use File > Open. You wouldn't be embedding the HTML file in Animate, but opening the HTML file for further editing, such as adding text, rectangles, or images or audio - when you save, Animate only writes the links needed for its own runtime in the HTML file - the rest of Animate's runtime files get saved in the same folder where you saved your HTML file.
Thank you very much! I think I will be able to resolve my problem now
