I'm fitting a new SSD to my mac pro. Obviously CC and it's apps are installed on my old HDD. I'll be keeping that as a secondary drive but, as it's quite slow, I'd ideally like CC to be installed on the new main SSD drive. I have my second CC install on my PC just as a backup.
Do I need to de-activate the install on the old HDD then re-download all the apps onto the SSD? Or is there a way to just transfer the install over?
Oh and also wondering if the folios in my DPS will transfer over if I re-install. I suspect they will but just checking.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Discussions of RE-installing
I have a similar situation.
I have a 2012 MacPro with two SSD Drives installed via an Apricorn PCI Card. One SSD has El Capitan OS and all my CC Apps installed and the other SSD is blank. I am waning to install the latest version of Sierra OS on the blank drive and then install the CC apps on that drive. Once I am sure everything is working with my other hardware/apps with Sierra, I plan to erase the El Capitan SSD. How is the best way to proceed?
Note my second copy of CC is running on my laptop.
