Could you please follow these steps and let us know if it helps you.
Please download and run Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool
Run Creative Cloud Cleaner tool and choose option 3 and then option 1 to complete the cleaning process.
Once done please rename OOBE Folder from these locations
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
Go to creative.adobe.com -> Download Center -> Download Creative Cloud

I've gone through the 'cleanup' software, rebooted and tried to re-install, still getting error code 1.
I already had a CC last week, but terminated the account to create a new one and upgrade to the whole suite. could this be causing the problems?
I must say, this has been a slightly 'frustrating process...' lol!
also, I am using Mac OS X version 10.9.2
