Test Screen Name May 10, 2014 4:51 PM (in response to straightlife)I would look hard at whether you can work on a copy of the InDesign file and adjust the global templates.

2. Re: Is there a way to make all page margins the same?
straightlife May 10, 2014 6:05 PM (in response to Test Screen Name)I tried that.
The photos (there are more than 80) are set exactly where they ought to be in the text, and many are full page photos and so can't be anchored.
Also each page has been manipulated so that the bottom lines of each spread (and the book is 382 pages) are at exactly the same place.
The tiniest manipulation of margins blows the whole thing to smithereens. All that work.
I've looked online and people have been asking about ways to change margins in Acrobat and asking whether there are any apps or plugins that can help you do that, but nobody has had any luck with it.

Phillip Jones May 10, 2014 8:41 PM (in response to straightlife)What you are describing about the margins right and Left being different; is called a Gutter.
The gutter is used when you print a book, having such Gutters allows enough room for the Book, Magazine, Report, to be bound.
I don't know how it could be done on 80 pages without spending a ton of time, unless someone has a JavaScript concoction.
If it were just a Few Pages you could use Crop feature to cop on wide side so it would be 8-1/2"
That way everything would be centered without actually moving the objects.

straightlife May 10, 2014 8:49 PM (in response to Phillip Jones)Thanks, there are 382 pages. Can't do them one by one. And I purposely made the margins different in indesign, to give people more space in the middle. The margins are as follows:

But when I try to reverse the inside outside on one page of the spread, just reverse them, so the dimensions are the SAME, all the text and photos move.
