          Fireworks 8 does, previous versions do not.
          Freehand does if you have that.

            Can anyone comment on Illustrator in CS3? I am thinking about upgrading so
            that I can get a better trace function than freehand has been offering.

              Hi

              I downloaded the trial because I couldn't find trace in fireworks. I found
              it to be very quick and had good results on a greyscale bitmap

                Hi Ian
                Illustrator , in my opinion, is the best there is. Takes a bit of time
                to get used to the settings and you need a lot of power if the bitmap is
                large. There are also some useful fireworks / photoshop extensions that
                give good sketch / illustration effects which in turn can be vectorised
                using the trace facility.

                Best Wishes

                Jan

                  Thanks for the feedback. I am going CS3 for certain now. -- Tony
